Black Church print for Bloom’s Day

I’ve just created this Ulysses themed print for Bloom’s Day for the über talented folk at Bloom (creative agency in Dublin)

Each year the agency ask an artist to interpret this line for James Joyce’s Ulysses;

He went through a form of clandestine marriage with at least one woman in the shadow of the Black Church

To me, it meant that the man was having sordid relations with ladies of the night and so I imagined the Black Church bathe in moon light with a neon ‘girly bar’ light above it.
